The first yacht for Rosetti Superyachts is underway and it will take the form of an explorer type yacht with superyacht styling. It is called the RSY 38 Explorer and the keel has already been laid and the traditional coin welded into the bottom of the keel for good luck. They will recover the coin once construction is completed and perhaps the owner will have the memento. Since, there isn’t alot of information on the build as it is only in its early stages of build.
The LOA is 37.8-meters along with an 8.8-meter BOA and will have a GT of 400 when completed. Hydro Tec’s Sergio Cutolo is responsible for the exterior design of the new superyacht. He went on to say; “this first RSY Explorer was born from a Hydro Tec project and from the wishes of the owners who followed us step by step, creating a graceful boat with a strong personality”.
From now, the yard expects to finish the yacht in 24 months and that means a completion sometime in 2021. The yacht is going to be built on a three-deck internal layout which will see guest accommodation on the lower deck and also owner accommodation on the main deck. Angular lines were utilized in the design but there is still an element of softness to the overall appeal of the yacht.
This 38-meter Sergio Cutolo design was sold in December. The yard also presents another design of 43-meters by Studio Spadolini.
