30M sailing yacht Vagante undergoing outfitting at Huzur Yacht’s yard

Forthcoming sailing yacht Vagante, currently being built at Turkish shipyard Huzur Yat, has now entered the next phase of its construction. The 30-metre (98-feet) vessel is being outfitted ahead of an expected delivery before the end of 2018.

Many of the deck gear and electrical systems on board Vagante have been installed already, with work underway on crew areas and the galley. Two guest cabins have already been fitted, with work now begun on the main saloon and remaining accommodation.

Vagante’s hull will be painted a custom shade of grey in the coming days; the fin keel and bulb have been fabricated ahead of painting.

Taka Yacht Design, who provided exterior design and naval architecture, described the influence of the classic Turkish gulet. The firm said it resembled the vessel “but with finer lines, modern underbody, bulb keel and spade rudder.”

Accommodation for Vagante is for eight guests across three double en-suite cabins and a master cabin, the latter of which boasts its own private saloon. Interior design is courtesy of Stephen Huish Yacht Design, and key materials inside include bleached oak, American walnut and stainless steel. Crew quarters will be able to house a three-strong staff.

The sailing yacht, which is for a “young, enthusiastic couple and their family with a huge love of the sea”, will have a top speed of 10 knots under power, with a cruising speed of seven knots. Her beam is 6.4 metres in total.
