Two new R76s from manufacturer Roscioli Donzi are currently under construction for two repeat customers of the yard. They are two different stories but represent the love of the craft this manufacturer makes.
In one instance one owner is not stepping up or down because he presently owns an R80; and doesn’t appear to want to get rid of it so the next best option is to build another boat of similar size. The other owner is stepping up and since he is an avid fisherman his new R76 is not only going to be larger but more dedicated to fishing for his passion.
The R76 MED for the first owner will have a walkaround main deck and be a fine cruising yacht with the look of a sportsfisher. Below you will see the difference between this one and the second build. There is no fishing rig attached to the superstructure either. Another difference is the extended flybridge which makes it long enough to allow for secondary navigation, dining and even lounging in the sun. Compared to the other hull the fly bridge is considerably larger.
The second R76 is being built for an avid angler who already used a Roscioli Donzi R58. The new boat will be a step-up for him not only in size but equipment onboard to complement the fishing that will be done on the boat. There is expected to be an icemaker onboard along with a number of live-wells for the fish, fighting chair. Both boats will be powered by MTU engines. And expected to have a speed of 36-knots and cruise more efficiently just above 30-knots.
