Kuwait will hold the 7th Kuwait Yacht Show (KYS) from March 26 to 30, Nouf Al-Hajiri, the project manager of KYS said on Tuesday.
At a press conference Nouf Al-Hajiri said that the event will be held in Kuwait City, captial of Kuwait, adding that this year one lucky registered visitor will win a Kuwait-made fishing boat worth more than 16,000 Kuwaiti dinars (52,000 U.S. dollars).
With an ever-growing need for bigger yachts, this year’s show will host a wide variety of 70-90 feet yachts, she said, noting that KYS has added a further berth, delivering its largest in-water presentation to date for this event.
In addition, KYS is launching an environment-friendly initiative with the aim of propagating its vision for a sustainable and green world, she said.
“New activities featured for the first time will range from daily marine-themed talks, debates, a live simulation by an expert kayaker, and many fish-casting competitions,” she noted.
“Additionally, attendees will have the chance to savor the sailing experience on two sailboats offered by our special collaboration with the Kuwait Sailing Association.” she said.
