Somewhere between a large tender and a small cruiser, the speedy 52-footer is well-suited to daytime cruises and overnight voyages.
The new Mazu 52HT has continued to draw attention at major Superyacht events, following up a successful debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival with a good showing at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The 52-foot tender has the distinctive Mazu look, with a quite bulky, muscular-shaped hull made of layers of carbon composite. Powered by dual Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines, it has a top speed of 38 knots and cruises at 32 knots.
A compact cruiser
“The idea was to develop a 52-footer with the space, performance, and interior comfort and finish of a much bigger boat,” said Halit Yukay, CEO of Mazu Yachts. “Combined with her carbon construction and low centre of gravity for optimal stability and seakeeping, we believe this new addition to the Mazu fleet represents excellent value in terms of quality and price.”
Prize-wise, the 52HT starts at €890,000. When it comes to quality, the spacious interior delivers, with handmade Foglizzo leather fixtures and a full-beam master cabin in the bow, with a marble- finished bathroom. The second cabin makes the vessel a good small cruiser in its own right, and suitable for long, overnight voyages.
Externally, the 52HT has a four-seat cockpit, the roof of which also covers a dining area. There are also spacious sundecks both forward and aft.
