Oceanco has launched the largest yacht currently under construction in the Netherlands.
Known as Project Y719, the mammoth 117 metre superyacht was launched at the yard’s construction yard in Zwijnenburg.
After hitting the water for the first time, the yacht was moved into the yard’s outfitting facility in Alblasserdam.
As well as being the largest yacht under construction in the Netherlands; Y719 is also the largest yacht ever built by the Dutch yard.
While details remain sparse, it is known that Y719 features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, five decks and is scheduled for a 2021 delivery. More information on the project is expected to be revealed later.
The boat is one of several enormous superyacht projects in the works at Oceanco; including 109 metre Y720 and 125 metre Y721, both due in 2021. The average length of all 34 yachts the yard has delivered since 1993 is a massive 73.1 metres.
The news comes after the yard delivered the 90 metre superyacht known as DreAMBoat following successful sea trials. DreAMBoat features exterior design by Espen Øino International .and interiors by Terence Disdale Design.
