The 49 metre Benetti custom yacht Project Zafiro has been launched in Viareggio for a repeat client and named Elaldrea+.

Horacio Bozzo Design collaborated with the Benetti Style Department for the exterior lines and the interior layout. He strived to produce a design that is both contemporary and timeless for the owner. “The minimalism and purity of the lines are the heart and soul of this project, in which the demand for functionality embraces the design,” Bozzo explained in a statement.

One of the highlights of Elaldrea+ is her spacious flybridge, which stretches across 115 square metres and features a four metre pool and plenty of room for dining and lounging on custom furnishings from the likes of Link Outdoor, Sutherland and Vaar. Meanwhile, her superyacht beach club includes a dedicated sauna area.

Built to LY3 and RINA standards from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she can accommodate up to 12 guests and ten crewmembers. The 60 metre square owner’s cabin boasts a fully automatic sliding balcony, his and hers bathrooms, a private office, and two walk-in wardrobes, all of which are well lit thanks to the big windows that offer open views and let natural light flood in.

The remaining six guest cabins cover a total area of 90 square metres, including two VIP cabins that have been alloted 25 square metres apiece. The interior décor juxtaposes canaletto walnut and tanganyika woodwork and stainless steel inserts with silk, velvet and five different types of marble, while the furnishings were carefully selected from the likes of Poltrona Frau, Giorgetti, Softhouse and Arketipo.

The main garage hides a 6.3 metre tender with a 3.4 metre crew tender stowed in the foredeck bay. Powered by a pair of MTU V12 engines, Elaldrea+ has a top speed of 14.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at ten knots, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 60,000 litres. Her Naiad stabilisers should ensure a smooth cruising experience in all conditions.

Other custom yacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 69 metre FB269, which is due for delivery this summer.
