The Bavaria Catamarans brand now replaced by the Nautitech

The “Bavaria Catamarans” brand was officially replaced by the “Nautitech” brand at the Düsseldorf Boat show.

In the context of the Boot Düsseldorf, the Bavaria Catamarans trade name was replaced by “Nautitech” which will henceforth represent the company and its products. Nautitech Catamarans have presented their new identity and strategy under the motto “Elevate your dream”. With the expansion project, favourable economic prospects and the determination to recruit within France, all signals are on green for the subsidiary of Bavaria Yachtbau Holding GmBh, a leading expert on the multihull market having been based in the Rochefort area, Region “Nouvelle Aquitaine” for ten years.

Return to their sources for Nautitech catamarans

Due to the redemption in September, 2018 by the German Opportunity Fund CMP of Bavaria Yachtbau, their former French subsidiary “Bavaria Catamarans” is returning to its original identity by reverting to its already renowned brand name “Nautitech Catamarans”.

Dr. Ralph Kudla, the new Chief Restructuring Officer of Bavaria and responsible for its French subsidiary knows that “Bavaria stands for yachts, Nautitech for catamarans. We believe that it is important for the two companies to be able to highlight their respective identities even more clearly in future. The two firms will collaborate closely in technical matters and develop the partnership between Germany and France even more vigorously.”

Gildas Le Masson, General Manager of Bavaria Catamarans, looks forward to these encouraging prospects; “After a period of 3 years of very strong growth and staffing from 50 to more than 250 people under contract. Today, we have to maximize and rationalize our current production capabilities as well preparing our future.”

Strengthened experience at sea

The brand is now going back to its sources by reverting to its orginal name, “Nautitech”, and takes up its position, reconciling performance, quality, comfort and design for the satisfaction of exacting customers.

The current tendency is to value comfort over performance and seafaring, a tendency where sailing on a catamarans is getting more and more “static”. Taking the complete opposite view to that of their competitors, Nautitech Catamarans offer their customers exclusive catamarans with a sturdy, sophisticated and seaworthy design, which allows the brand to enjoy international recognition for its capacity to make the joy of navigation the central interest of their multihulls again. Nautitech catamarans come as a subtle alliance between high-end comfort and outstanding performance. Whether at sea or at anchor, Nautitech catamarans allow your sailing expectations to be brought to a higher level.

Necessary expansion of the industrial capabilities of the company

Bavaria Catamarans could produce up to 100 catamarans per year at its current 7.000 m2 location. In order to meet the high demand of the market, it is necessary for the company to increase its industrial resources and to almost double its area in m2. With the support of the local community, Nautitech Catamaran is exploring the possibility of an extension of its
premises, still on the trade port of Rochefort with direct access to sea.

An important decision because of the demand for multihulls tending towards increasingly large boats, and the manufacturers therefore face difficulties for the transportation of these impressive ships. Official representatives of Rochefort today reiterated their collective support for this expansion by supporting the company in its search for new premises. “Bavaria gives us all legitimacy in the creation of the Nautical-Naval Cluster of New Aquitaine with our partners. It is a structuring project for the economic dynamics of our territories” said Hervé Blanché, President of the agglomeration of Rochefort Océan and Mayor of Rochefort. With Stelia in aeronautics and Bavaria in sailing, the French industrial know-how is well represented in Rochefort.
