British builder Princess Yachts joined the queue of companies unveiling new models and showing off their latest to the industry at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The all-new Princess Y95 model was introduced the new flagship in the British yard’s Y Class range.
The newly-developed project builds on the styling of the highly-anticipated X95 model due to launch later this year.
Superyacht Y95 Developed together with Princess’ design partners Olesinski and Pininfarina. The Y95 is encroaching on the interior volume of the Princess 30-meter yacht with a slightly smaller overall footprint. The Y95 comes with a configurable layout with five guest cabins and also generous crew quarters in the aft section of the lower deck. This part of the yacht is also configurable with either a spacious lazarette or full beach club with seating area, bar and day head.
Princess reports that the volume on board its new Y95 is comparable to that of the 30M superyacht model; indicative of the clever layout and space-saving measures built into this new model.
Designed with a wave-piercing bow, the yacht can reach up to 26 knots at maximum speed without sacrificing any of the seakeeping capabilities that Princess clients have come to expect. The four guest cabins on the lower deck each come with their own ensuite bathrooms. Benefits from the longest and most expansive hull windows ever installed on a Princess yacht with spectacular views from these water-level staterooms.
Performance can be expected with a 26-knot top-end using twin MAN V12-2000s. 95-foot yacht features a beam of 22.3-feet and a draft of 6.5-feet with a full fuel load is 13,400 LT.
Meanwhile, according to Princess, the first unit of this new model can be expected in 2021.
