Crescent Custom Yachts is currently working on what will become their flagship. This build is interesting because it did not originate from Crescent Custom Yachts. The hull was actually already built by another yard, Christensen and the owner moved the hull to Crescent for completion. This yard is not commenting a whole lot on the new yacht which is to be called “Danzante Bay” when completed.
Being that it is a 50-meter hull from Christensen Yachts certain dimensions should still hold true. Christensen’s 50-meter line generally has a 9-meter beam and a draft of 2.4-meters. The designer of the new yacht is Gregory C Marshall. Interior details have not been released on the 50-meter build. The name Danzante Bay may give you an idea as to where the owner might be hailing from. Danzante Bay is actually a golfing resort located in Loreto, Mexico on the Baja California Sur with American connections. Crescent Custom Yachts is also presently working on another build called the Crescent 117 FAST which was unveiled at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).
Danzante Bay, the yacht, is expected to be able to sleep up to twelve guests in six cabins along with ten crew members in five cabins. The new yacht will become the yard’s flagship holding the distinction of ‘the largest built in Canada’. The near 45-meter “Mucho Mas” is the present largest for the Canadian builder. Danzante Bay when completed in her GRP-construction will be 499 GT and expected to be ready for delivery in 2020.
