Royal Huisman unveiled Project Lotus

Dutch yard Royal Huisman has unveiled its latest sailing superyacht in development for this year’s Monaco Yacht Show; the 88-metre twin-mast Dyna-Rig Project Lotus.

The project is designed by the British studio, ThirtyC Design, with naval architecture by the creators of the innovative DynaRig, Dutch studio Dykstra Naval Architects.

The yard said the concept “bridges the gap between the experience of sailing and the adventure of the motor yacht lifestyle.”

In a statement, it added that the project is “designed for the family who seeks life without compromise, the combination of dual-mast DynaRig sailing yacht and rugged support vessel offers unbridled freedom for both the journey and the destination.”

Other features include complete customisation and open space, as well as simpler rigging and crew layouts.

Meanwhile, more information about the concept will be released at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, the yard said.
